The HolGoun Development Trust, formerly the CLS Trust, was established in 2006 by Dr Sivi and Mrs Vanessa Gounden as part of their commitment towards education, sport, culture and youth leadership amongst disadvantaged communities.

The Trust is privately funded and is capitalised from the proceeds of HolGoun Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a company owned by Dr Sivi and Mrs Vanessa Gounden.

The Goundens have grown up in the township of Shallcross in KwaZulu Natal and whilst its focus is on the benefitting of the disadvantaged communities in general, special focus will always be given to Shallcross and its neighbouring areas.
